The Shire has received a development application for a proposed Home Business for Pottery Classes at 275 Bedford St, Mt Helena.

Details of the application is as follows:

- The proposed Home Business is for Pottery Classes/Workshops.

- The business will be run by the occupier of the subject site with occasional voluntary assistance by the landowner (mother).

- Intention is to host during school hours, with flexibility to occasionally offer sessions after school and weekends.

- Will start with a maximum of 4 students at once but would like flexibility to increase if future demand allows.

- The applicant advises the business will not affect the amenity of the neighbourhood with noise kept to a minimum and no fumes, dust or waste generated.

- To be run from inside the shed, in an area not exceeding 50m2.

- There will be no retail sales.
