The Shire has a received a development application for proposed additions and alterations at the Parkerville Tavern site (6-18 Owen Road, Parkerville).
Details of the application are the following:
- A new amenities block
- Refurbishment of an existing pizza area
- A new pavilion at the current marquee location
- New playground equipment
- A new timber deck for existing outdoor seating.
- Like-for-Like replacement of the front fence
- Replacement of approximately 50m of western boundary fencing with 1.8m high Colorbond to meet acoustic requirements.
- Installation of lighting
- Installation of shade sails
- New play equipment
The applicant has advised the following:
“The application does not propose any changes to existing operations, staff numbers, or the licensed patron area."
"The refurbishment is focused on enhancing the user experience and will not increase the footprint or total size of the licenced area.”

What happens next?
The Shire has finalised the assessment and has prepared the Responsible Authority Report (RAR) for the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel (MODAP). The RAR is a comprehensive assessment of the application and includes all the submissions received on the proposal.
