Draft Exemptions from Requiring Development Approval Local Planning Policy

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 10 March 2026, Council resolved that the draft Exemptions from Requiring Development Approval (LPP) shall be advertised for public comment.The advertising period for the draft local planning policy has now concluded.

Draft Exemptions from Requiring Development Approval Local Planning Policy

The purpose of the draft Exemptions from Requiring Development Approval LPP is to exempt certain works which are not already identified within the planning framework as exempt within the Shire of Mundaring.

Advertising Period

The Shire carried out public advertising ofthe draft local planning policy between 20 March 2026 and 17 April 2026. All submissions recieved by the Shire will be reviewed and considered in the preparation of the local planning policy, prior to presenting the local planning policy to Council to consider its adoption.

What happens next?

Council will be considering the adoption of the draft Local Planning Policyat the Ordinary Council meeting being held at 6.30pm on 9 June 2026. For further information and a copy of the agenda, please see the Shire's website here.
