Shire of Mundaring strives to create an accessible and inclusive environment. All locations used for events in the summer series have unisex accessible toilets and priority parking bays.
LakeFest will have a chill out space available designed to limit sensory input by reducing noise and for those who may need a designated space away from the event.
All events will have a Chat/Communication Board available to help people that find it hard to talk and/or understand speech, to be able to communicate with their supports, family, friends and event staff.
Lifeguards will be present at LakeFest to monitor the designated swimming area, marked by lane ropes.
Children under 6 years old (aged 0-5 years) must be accompanied into the Lake by a responsible adult and supervised within arm's reach at all times. This means that if the child is in the water, the parent/guardian must be in the water too.
For safety, children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult in all areas in and around the Lake.
Bring a picnic, picnic rug, or low chairs if you like!
High backed chairs are exclusive to the back of the amphitheatre only.
Weather conditions such as rain, high winds, and extreme temperatures can affect the safety of events. Unfortunately, we have no control over these circumstances. If the weather becomes unfavourable, the Shire will notify residents through its social media platforms and website. Additionally, signs will be placed at the event venue wherever possible.
To accommodate the wider community, pets are not allowed at any of the Summer of Entertainment events.
Service Dogs and Assistance Dogs are permitted.
There is plenty of free parking at all of the venues, including accessible parking bays. However, we strongly encourage car pooling wherever possible.
LakeFest will have a complimentary shuttle service available to and from Chidlow Oval during the event.
Attending Shire staff have first aid qualifications and a first aid kit will be on premises at all times.
A St John first aid station will be in operation at each event.
Of course! Everyone is welcome to attend the events.
