A Healthier, Happier Mundaring

FAQ

Why is the Shire developing a new Plan?

The Shire of Mundaring is developing its Community Health and Wellbeing Informing Strategy 2026–2030 to guide how it supports the health and wellbeing of the community over the next five years. This plan ensures a coordinated, evidence-based approach to public health that responds to local needs and aligns with the recently released WA State Public Health Plan 2025–2030.

Why are we asking for feedback?

Your input helps us understand local priorities, lived experiences, and opportunities for improvement. Community and stakeholder feedback is essential to ensure the plan reflects what matters most to people living and working in the Shire.

Who can take part?

We welcome input from all community members including residents, health professionals, local service providers, community organisations, and others who play a role in promoting health and wellbeing in the Shire of Mundaring.

What will the feedback be used for?

Your feedback will help shape the vision, goals, and strategies of the next iteration of the plan, which will be known as the Shire of Mundaring Public Health Plan 2026 - 2030. It will be used alongside health data and policy guidance to identify priority areas for action, ensuring the plan is both community-informed and aligned with state-wide health directions.

How will the community be kept informed?

Updates will be provided through the Shire’s website, newsletters, and other communication channels. A draft of the plan will be shared for public comment before it is finalised, giving the community a further opportunity to help shape its direction.
