Amendment No.20 to Local Planning Scheme No.4 - Lot 99 Betty Street and Lot 9100 Thornwick Crescent, Chidlow

Project Overview

At its Ordinary Meeting held on 10 December 2024, Council resolved to adopt Amendment No.20 to Local Planning Scheme No.4 (LPS4) to advertise.

The purpose of the Amendment is to recode portion of Lot 9100 Thornwick Crescent, Chidlow, from R2.5 to R5. Also, to rezone Lot 99 Betty Street, Chidlow, from Residential to Local Planning Scheme Reserve 'Recreation'.

Closing date

Please ensure that submissions are made by 4:00pm on 2 May 2025.

What happens after the public comment period

Once the advertising period has concluded the Shire will review all of the submissions received. A report will then be prepared by Shire Officers for Council to consider whether to support the proposal with or without modifications.

    Local Planning Scheme amendment adopted (initiated) by Council - Completed 10 December 2024

     

    Stage 2

    Obtain consent from Western Australian Planning Commission and Environmental Protection Authority to advertise - Completed March 2025

     

    Stage 3

    Advertise Local Planning Scheme Amendment  - Current stage

     

    Stage 4

    Council consideration as to whether to support  the Local Planning Scheme amendment with or without modifications,  having regard to any submissions received during advertising period.

     

    Stage 5

    Local Planning Scheme amendment forwarded to Western Australian Planning Commission for Minister's determination.


    Stage 6

    If approved by Minister, notice regarding decision published in Government Gazette (Local Planning Scheme amendment becomes operative).
