Broz Park Community Facilities

Project Overview

Help shape the future of Broz Park in Helena Valley. The community survey period to gather input into the development of the park to provide recreational amenity for residents of the area has now closed.

The park already contains a skate park, play equipment, basketball court, bbq, shelters and walking path around the lake.

A draft masterplan has been prepared which includes a toilet block, additional play equipment, fitness exercise equipment hub area, flying fox, seating and a bird refuge island in the lake.

Thank you to all participants for their survey feedback. There was significant support for all proposed improvements.

One of the first projects to commence and now open is a public toilet block.

Improvements to the Broz Park Wetlands have also commenced. Details of this project can be found on Engage Mundaring.

The Shire has worked with the Helena Valley Resident and Ratepayers Association and submitted a Lotterywest submission seeking to add to funds provided by the Shire to implement other elements of the masterplan. The outcome of the Lotterywest submission is expected in June 2021.
